The History and Lore of the Item
Yuji Itadori is a secondary school pupil endowed with extraordinary physical strength, whose life is turned upside down the day he, in order to save his friends from a curse, commits the desperate act of swallowing a cursed finger belonging to Ryomen Sukuna, the most powerful demon in history. Having become the vessel for this millennia-old entity, Yuji enrols at the Tokyo Exorcism School under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo. Condemned to a death sentence with a stay of execution, he chooses to devote his final moments to exorcism in order to offer people a ‘dignified death’. Starting out as a novice, he develops an impressive mastery of occult energy, particularly through the devastating ‘Black Flash ’ technique (Black Flash).
